Introduction to the Active Module for the H-20A Line Array Speaker
The H-20A is a compact active line array speaker designed for rapid setup, tour-grade reliability, and high SPL output, making it ideal for live sound reinforcement, rental applications, and fixed installations. At its core is a built-in Class D bi-amplified active module. This module handles signal processing, power amplification, and system protection, allowing the speaker to operate without the need for external amplifiers.
The module features a dual-channel, two-way architecture: the low-frequency channel delivers 1000W peak / 500W RMS, and the high-frequency channel delivers 400W peak / 200W RMS, providing a total output of 1400W peak / 700W RMS.
Key Features
High-Efficiency Class D Amplification: Offers high efficiency, lightweight design, and rapid transient response; utilizes a precision-machined aluminum structure that serves as both a protective frame for transport and a heat-conduction path for fanless convection cooling.
SMPS (Switch-Mode Power Supply): Maximizes output power while minimizing module weight.
Protection Circuitry: Includes thermal protection, RMS protection, and a soft limiter to prevent driver overload.
Connectivity: Balanced/unbalanced XLR inputs and XLR outputs; Powercon input/output connectors; selectable sensitivity (-2dBu / +4dBu).
Please note that the active module of the H-20A operates on a single voltage (either 110V or 220V). However, the voltage can be changed.
It primarily involves a specific red wire: connect this wire for 110V operation, or leave it disconnected for 220V operation.
Below is a video demonstrating how to switch the voltage from 110V to 220V.
