The KA208 II can be deployed standalone or with its companion KA18 subwoofer. Already assembled as a variable curvature line source with leading sound pressure levels per unit weight and footprint, the KA208 II is ideal for applications requiring clarity and long range capabilities such as the performing arts, conventions, large businesses or some special Activity.
Based on the KA208 design, the KA208 II adds flexibility with Panflex. A single KA208 II enclosure offers four horizontal directivity modes: 70° or 110° symmetrical on both sides and 90° asymmetrical. By providing tighter control over directivity, the 70° setting increases projection by an additional 2 dB compared to the 110° setting. With Panflex and inter-element angles from 0° to 10°, KA208 II line source coverage can be precisely tailored to any audience geometry. The KA208 II can be used by itself as a main system for vocal enhancement and musical material with light bass requirements, or as a complement to larger sound systems in fill and delay applications.
The KA208 II enclosure is constructed from high-quality Baltic birch plywood to ensure maximum acoustic and mechanical integrity. The compact housing is equipped with protective elements that protect the housing panels during transportation and handling. Ergonomic side and rear handles facilitate operation and assembly. The KA208 II features a time-tested and efficient four-point tie-down rigging system that provides visual safety assessment.
The KA208 II can be flown or stacked with the dedicated frame M-BUMP and optional M-BAR for greater tilt angles.
